On Your Mark, Get Set ... ... ...

Last Spring, the Lord told us to prepare to move to Uganda.

 A year ago, the big question was, “Where in Uganda are you going?” We didn’t know…

 Six months ago, the big question was, “What will you do there?” We didn’t know…

Three months ago, the big question was, “What will Tyler do for three weeks in Northern Uganda?”  We didn’t know…

These days, the big question is, “When are you leaving?” We don’t know. God does. In His absolute perfect timing, God has shown us the answers to all of the previous questions. When He says, “GO” we’ll go. Until then, we’re praying for Zane and Summer… the couple that the Lord used to lay the foundation for the ministry going on in Kitgum.

A little bit about A lot about Zane and Summer... PLEASE PLEASE PRAY FOR THEM...
They have been serving in Uganda for 8 years. They’ve been in the city of Kitgum for about 2 years. In June, Summer came to the States with two of the children due to her poor health. She was planning to stay in America until September to try to rest her body, eat really well, gain some weight, and get rid of the parasites. Very recently, the doctors discovered she has Lyme’s Disease, and she is unable to return to Uganda. Meanwhile, Zane is in Uganda with three fully adopted kiddos, and eight “almost” adopted. In Uganda, the adoption laws are consistently changing, and getting eight “almost” legally adopted children out of the country has proven to be next to impossible. Zane has been meeting with government officials and preparing mountains of paperwork in an attempt to move the whole family to America to be together.

Tyler would love to spend as much time as possible with Zane in order to learn the logistics of all that he does. Then again, the LORD taught Zane, a twenty-something young man from back woods Oregon, how to lead two fellowships, disciple people by creating a farming business, teach after-work Bible studies, visit people in their homes, evangelize whole communities, farm his own land, and live with his ever-growing beautiful family in a foreign country. Why can’t the LORD do that for us?

In order for all of this to happen, both families need about a zillion bucks a pop. Doesn’t it look like such a mess?? Are you ready to watch a couple miracles happen?! These are the Scriptures God has been feeding us:

Ye shall not need to fight in this battle:
set yourselves and stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you…
2 Chronicles 20:17

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief;
but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.
Romans 4:20-21
