Zane and Summer are returning to Uganda... together!
For those who don't know, Zane and Summer McCourtney have begun the work here in Kitgum, Uganda. They have served together with a handful of people to establish the ministry that goes on here. In the process of ministering to the local people, they have taken in 11 children as their own, in addition to their 2 biological kids. They are now in the process of legally adopting all 11, and moving the whole big family back to Oregon. Summer has been battling health issues for years, and was told by doctors that her body can NOT handle living in Uganda. She's been home in Oregon for 6 months or so with her biological children, and Zane just brought the first 3 adopted children home to Oregon a month ago. Zane and Summer are flying back to Uganda TODAY to be with the remaining 8 children, and go to a court date next week determining the adoption of three more. (Enoch, Elyssa and Ethan)
Long story made real short. Got all that?
Please pray for Summer's health while she is here. She will be staying in Gulu, a city 2 1/2 hours from Kitgum where court will be held. It is healthier there for her in a hotel than here in a mud hut. Tyler will be transporting McCourtney kiddos on Sunday (I think) to go see their parents. Pray for the children going through so much change. Zane will be staying here in Uganda, but Summer is returning to the States in 2 weeks. It's a lot for everyone to take in... parents and children alike. We're praying for the next 3 adoptions to go smoothy. Also, the remaining 5 cannot be fully adopted yet according to Ugandan law. They have not lived with the McCourtney's for 3 full years. Zane and Summer are hoping for legal guardianship and passports to get those 5 to America.
It's a lot of information, I know... Join us in prayer?
