Curly Headed Family: Praying about Potter's Field Ranch

On two different occasions, missionaries we have met have told us to look into a missionary training program for our entire family. We didn't really pursue searching for one. Through different circumstances, the Lord seems to be leading us to one.

Mike and Pam Rozell, founders of Potter's Field Ministries, have come to our church a few times. They do an AMAZING job using music and clay to demonstrate the gospel. Pam sings while Mike throws clay on a potter's wheel and shares how we are like the clay, and God is the Potter molding us into whatever He knows is best. We didn't know they trained missionaries though!

They run Potter's Field Mission Training School at Potter's Field Ranch. It's a training program for three months in Montana, then three months in any of their three international locations - one being Uganda. The three month term in Montana is basically Bible College - teaching the fundamentals of Christianity and preparing you for a new culture before sending you out. The three months in Uganda are overseen by the church there (I think?) and include ministry opportunities like an after-school homework program, and Saturday Kids Club at Calvary Chapel Entebbe which is pretty much VBS every Saturday that 300-500 kids attend, along with many other outreach ministries.

Our plan at this point: PRAY! We're pretty certain this is where God is leading, but we won't settle for "pretty certain." We'd love to go through the Potter's Field training next winter, and then head off to Uganda if that's God's plan. Tyler talked to the pastors at Potter's Field. They said they may like him to teach at the ranch while we're there since he's taught some of the same things at our Bible College here in Farmington. Also, they would love to have someone on the ground there in Uganda that could oversee the Potter's Field interns when they arrive for their three-month trips. And! They've been praying about starting a Bible College in Entebbe too. Tyler is waiting to connect with the pastor in Entebbe. He'd love to spend a good amount of time in July in Entebbe, as he'll be in Uganda for three weeks.

I know that's a lot of information to take in. Please pray along with us as we seek the Lord and His will for us.
